Fried Mozzerella sticks
Fried mozzarella sticks are a beloved appetizer that never fails to please. These golden, crispy treats are made from thick slices of stretchy mozzarella cheese, breaded to perfection, and deep-fried until they are hot and bubbling. The striking contrast between the crunchy outer layer and the gooey, melty cheese within creates a mouthwatering experience that's hard to resist.
When you take that first bite, the satisfying crunch gives way to the warm, savory cheese, often accompanied by a delightful string of mozzarella that pulls away as you indulge. Typically served with a side of marinara sauce or ranch dressing, these sticks offer a rich burst of flavor with each dip, enhancing the overall taste experience.

Tip: Freeze cheese sticks for 30 minutes prior to frying.
- Heat oil to 370 degrees in an electric skillet or heavy bottom saucepan. In bag, add flour and dry seasoning. Shake to mix well then add cheese sticks and shake until well coated.
- In shallow bowl, beat eggs. In another shallow bowl, place breadcrumbs. Dip floured cheese sticks, one at a time, in egg mixture, then roll in crumb mixture until well coated.
- I like to double coat with flour. If you want to do this, put flour in a shallow pan and roll and coat again.
- Place cheese sticks on large baking sheet and chill for one hour. Fry sticks 3 or 4 at a time in hot oil for about 3 to 5 seconds or until golden brown. Remove with slotted spoon and drain on a plate without paper towels.
- Serve with your favorite pizza sauce for dipping.
