Ingredients
- 1 1/4 CUPS BROWN SUGAR
- 1 CUP SHORTENING
- 3 EGGS
- 1 TSP. VANILLA
- 2 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
- 1/2 TSP. SALT
- 1 TSP. BAKING POWDER
- 1 TSP. SODA
- 1 CUP NUTS
- 1 CUP CHOPPED ORANGE SLICE CANDY
- Add sugar & shortening and beat until creamy. Add eggs-mix well. Add vanilla, salt, baking powder, and soda-mix well.
- Add flour (1/2 cup at a time) mixing after each addition. Add nuts and candy, mix. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 12 minutes.
- Take out and cool 3-4 minutes. Place cookies on a cooling rack.
