RECIPE​

Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 CUPS BROWN SUGAR
  • 1 CUP SHORTENING
  • 3 EGGS
  • 1 TSP. VANILLA
  • 2 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
  • 1/2 TSP. SALT
  • 1 TSP. BAKING POWDER
  • 1 TSP. SODA
  • 1 CUP NUTS
  • 1 CUP CHOPPED ORANGE SLICE CANDY 
  1. Add sugar & shortening and beat until creamy. Add eggs-mix well. Add vanilla, salt, baking powder, and soda-mix well.
  2. Add flour (1/2 cup at a time) mixing after each addition. Add nuts and candy, mix. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 12 minutes.
  3. Take out and cool 3-4 minutes. Place cookies on a cooling rack.
